FAQ

Choose your Mystic women's kite or wing vest based on whether you need impact protection, certified buoyancy support or harness compatibility. Choose the Dusk Impact Vest if you want our most protective women's kite impact vest, with Clash foam, NBR spine protection, Fox Fleece lining, harness grip lines and a non-padded harness waist part.
Choose the Ruby Impact Vest if you want a staple women's kite vest with NBR spine protection, Clash foam and a secure front-zip fit.
Choose the Star Impact Vest if you want a reliable and more accessible kite impact vest with Clash foam, MX2 neoprene and Zipper Lock.
Choose the Star Floatation Vest or Brand Floatation Vest if certified buoyancy support is your main priority.

An impact vest is designed to help soften crashes, landings and wipeouts. It uses foam padding to protect key impact areas, but it is not intended to replace a certified buoyancy aid or life vest. A floatation vest is made to provide buoyancy support on the water. Choose the Dusk Impact Vest, Ruby Impact Vest or Star Impact Vest if impact protection and harness comfort are your priority. Choose the Star Floatation Vest or Brand Floatation Vest if certified buoyancy support is your priority. Learn more about the difference here.

All Mystic women's kite impact vests are made to work with a kitesurf harness, so you do not need to choose only based on harness compatibility. The Star Impact Vest, Dusk Impact Vest and Ruby Impact Vest are all designed for kitesurfing and can be worn with a harness. Choose between them based on the level of protection, comfort and features you need. Choose the Dusk Impact Vest if you want the most complete option, with Clash foam, NBR spine protection, harness grip lines and a non-padded harness waist part. Choose the Ruby Impact Vest if you want a reliable kite impact vest with Clash foam, NBR spine protection and harness grip lines. Choose the Star Impact Vest if you want a more accessible all-round kite impact vest with Clash foam and a front zip. If you need certified buoyancy support instead of impact protection, choose the Star Floatation Vest. It has a high-cut shape designed to fit with a harness. Impact vests are designed to reduce the force of crashes, but they are not flotation devices or buoyancy aids.

Choose the Dusk Impact Vest if maximum protection is your main priority. It combines Clash foam plates with sturdy NBR foam around the spine, helping protect key impact areas during hard crashes and wipeouts. The Ruby Impact Vest is also a strong protection-focused choice because it uses NBR foam around the spine and Clash foam. Choose Star Impact Vest if you want a lighter, more accessible impact vest for regular kite sessions.

A Mystic women's kite or wing vest should fit snugly around the chest and body without restricting breathing, rotation or harness movement. An impact vest should stay close to the body so it does not move during crashes, jumps or hard landings. A floatation vest should also feel secure, but should be chosen using the correct size or weight chart. For kitesurfing and wing foiling, make sure the vest sits comfortably with your harness and does not block movement through turns, pumping or body rotation.
