THE NETHERLANDS
Cohan van Dijk
About
They call him “Big C” for a reason. Hailing from Schagen, the Netherlands, Cohan van Dijk got into kiting when he was just 8 years old, thanks to his dad who showed him the ropes. Cohan claims he wouldn’t be where he is today without his dad’s continual support, backing up his dreams since day one.
Cohan’s experience with Freestyle and Wakeboarding has allowed him to excel with air awareness, kite control, and body movement. Horizons broadening, hunger growing; Cohan’s journey in Big Air hit the big leagues when he won the Porsche Golden Ticket to compete in KOTA 2022. He wowed the crowd when he made it to the semi-finals as a rookie. Then in early 2023, he took home the win at the last BAKL tour stop in Cape Town. This crazy (but calculated) kid is finding his zone, while just having fun and doing what feels right.
“Horizons broadening, hunger growing; Cohan’s progression in Big Air from his first KOTA semi-final to reaching his first podium in BAKL shows no signs of slowing down.”
