Pushing the envelope of what’s possible, Giel Vlugt is evolving Big Air as we know it. He believes that if you’re impassioned by something, you’ll fight for it regardless of what it takes. His recipe paid off; after 10 years of attempts from within the scene, Giel was the first to land the Double Megaloop, leaving everyone at the edge of their seats.

As a Dutch rider whose pro journey began when he was 18, Giel had to break through all doubts that he could rise the ranks. It sparked a flame in him, and being competitive to the core, he won’t settle for anything less than 1st. But determined as he is, Giel is friendly at heart, and his competitive edge won’t overshadow his sportsmanship.
