Introducing Matteo Dorotini

Matteo Dorotini Freestyler. Born in Venice and now based at Lake Garda, Matteo has been quietly building his name in Freestyle with a style that speaks louder than words. He started kiting at just 11, when most instructors didn’t want to teach kids. That didn’t stop him. By the time he was a teenager, kiting had already taken over his life. 



Like many in the sport, Matteo grew up with a love for boardsports, snowboarding, skating, surfing, but it was watching kiters soar through the air that made something click.

Now, Matteo spends most of his time riding and coaching at Lake Garda. He’s still chasing progress, still riding for the love of it. “Freestyle is never done. It’s not about how hard the trick is, it’s about how you make it your own.” His style is powered by that same mindset, where a simple trick done right can be more powerful than any technical spin.

Matteo believes freestyle has a future beyond the podium, but video and parks, like skateboarding is now. It will appeal to the pure person, who has love for the sport.

Matteo’s eyes are set on big goals: keeping freestyle alive, inspiring others, and one day, claiming a world title.
